Craigie Horsfield (*1949, lives in London & New York) had already photographed
Zamość in the 1970’s and was as the result the only international artist with an active
connection to the city. Horsfield lived for many years in Krakow, the black and white
photographs made at the time established his reputation as a photo-artist.
From the beginning of the 90’s he has devoted himself to collaborative projects.
In these projects Horsfield works with various media, from photography to film,
sound installation and performance to architectural concepts with changing
collaborators. For Ideal City Invisible Cities he developed, together with Reinier
Rietveld, a sound installation which can be heard in the coach horse stables.
